Who I Am
After a near-drowning experience at a young age, I had a fear of water for years. I tried to be brave, and eventually conquered my fear. I joined swim team and was the slowest swimmer for years and always got last in competitions, but I kept pushing. As I gained strength, I became a great swimmer, lifeguard, and later on, a swimming instructor. Helping my students conquer physical obstacles was a motivational event to witness. I became passionate about fitness and intrigued with the human body and movement. So, I did many sports and went to college to get my B.S. in fitness and wellness. Over the years I’ve worked as a Zumba instructor, personal trainer, and aerobics instructor. Many believe exercise is the only necessity for health. Fitness, sleep, water intake, sunlight, air circulation, and trust in God are all essential elements to health. By becoming a holistic health coach, I wanted to help others conquer physical obstacles. Often, we have physical goals and dreams we’d like to reach, but the only thing stopping us is ourselves, our fears, our lack of belief, and lack of confidence in our own abilities. Seeing others gain confidence in their abilities is a motivation to me and one of my greatest inspirations to continue fighting to be my best self.
